A townhome that stays on the market for 70 days before going under contract…there is usually a reason for that! This one had most likely been rented and showed some wear and tear on walls, and some mysterious baseboard issue in the finished basement where it had been removed with drywall damaged. There was new carpet and a new furnace so the improvements needed were very manageable as a fix and live in or rent quickly. It is now under contract and will make a great rental or home.
Both the positive and the negative regarding this location is that the home backs to Drake, with Safeway, Walgreens and other businesses right across the street. This is ideal for the convenience, and you do hear traffic noise both outside and in. It also happens to be just steps away from the entrance to the Spring Creek trail so that is a huge bonus! There is a nicely sized back yard.
At $121 per square feet with the last list price of $217,000 it is a great buy. It started at $229,000 last July which was a bit high given that our condo market was just slowing at that time. We seem to be out of the crazyness of the early part of the year and back to more balance with condo/townhome listings. Good thing for buyers!
